Arab Drilling and Workover Company (ADWOC) was established in 1980 and is one of the leading oil and gas onshore contract drilling and workover companies in Libya and Syria.

The Company owns and operates a highly mobile fleet of ten drilling and seven workover rigs ranging on the drilling side from 550 to 2000 horsepower and 300 to 750 horsepower for the workover rigs.

Our rigs have been contracted to a diverse number of operators: Total E&P Libye, Syria, Al furat Petroleum Co Syria, ENI Gas B.V., Veba Oil Operations, Sirte Oil Company, Waha Oil Company, Zuetina Oil Company, Wintershall Libya, Lasmo Grand Magheb, ENI Oil Co., International Petroleum Libya Ltd., REMSA, OMV, Repsol Oil Operations, Oxy Libya and RWE.

All our rigs are designed for operation in distant dessert environments and equipped with all necessary amenities, spare parts and infrastracture support for living and conducting operations in remote locations. The majority of our drilling and workover rigs are outfitted with moving gear and compartmentalized on skids thereby minimizing moving time rig assembly between well locations.

In suppport of our operations, we maintain a fleet of heavy duty transport and lifting equipment including transport trucks, cranes, forklifts and associated repair facilities as we maintain and service all our own equipment.

In addition to our rig fleet, ADWOC provides related oilfield services and is the leading supplier in Libya of machine shop and inspection services. As well, ADWOC maintains an extensive supply of rental equipment such as jars, shock tools, drill pipe and collars and other.
